Hi,

how is it possible to render in mental ray with following option ( command line )

i.e. render -r mr .......................

primary framebuffer :

data type : RGBA (Byte) 4x8 Bit

colorclip : Raw

Raytrace / Scan quality

Min sample - 2

Max sample - 5

what is the parameter for data type, color clip, min sample, max sample

render -r mr -help

this should help with the parameters. If you cannot find the required parameter, it is not possible per default to change these values per commandline. Of course you can modify the mrRenderer.xml in the bin/rendererDesc directory but this requires a bit knowledge of mel.

I modified the mrRenderer.xml for maya 2010 and 2011 so that you can now set AA samples and color depth in commandline rendering. If you want to use it, look here:
